Duy-Anh HONG – Founder & Certified Public Accountant
Who are you?
I am a woman in my mid-thirties, born and raised in France. My parents are from Vietnam
and even though I got my Chartered Accountant Diploma in Paris, part of my education was
done in Canada. All of it has enabled me to develop quite the multi-cultural mindset.
In one word, describe yourself
Reliable.
Tell us about the most challenging moment in your life?
The launch of my own accounting practice almost two years ago!
After my 5-year-experience within Deloitte’s international accounting department, I
couldn’t resist my inner voice telling me to take the entrepreneurship route. As I was
discovering motherhood at the time, I wanted more flexibility and independence but more
importantly, I wanted the freedom to choose the people/clients with whom I was doing
business and solely focus on their satisfaction.
What kind of culture do you thrive in?
Commitment and honesty are for me key elements to a successful relationship.
You have launched your business by yourself, but do you work alone?
Thankfully, no. During my career, I had the opportunity to meet a lot of very enriching
people. I have established trusting professional relationships, either in my field or in other
domains such as tax, social or corporate. I work closely with former colleagues from Deloitte.
These partnerships are fundamental, and I believe they offer added guarantee and value to
my clients.
What makes you different from the other players?
My dual expertise. My experience as an interim Chief Financial Officer or Accounting Director
taught me how to adapt to different environments and to act fast yet rigorously. As someone
who takes pride in her work, I will go the extra mile to bring the best quality and satisfaction to my clients, even with challenging deadlines.
